Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican daughter from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is born in Mexico. Her heritage is Mexican American but an American nationality. Since she was a child she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina began playing golf when she was 15. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. When she was a student in high school she won the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. As well as the sport of volleyball, she played on an official level. She attended the University of Texas, Texas, for the 2003 academic year. She was the only winner of all tournaments she played in during her senior years. In her time at college, she received her Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athlete Award.
