Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. The team was selected with the 5th pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. There are two brothers: Mario (26 year older) and Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Her parents spoilt her the most due to her being the most young. Gregory was an Nigerian Army officer for a length of period of time. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. Her brother Dare played football, and Yolanda, her mother, used to play softball. Ogunbowale won the gold medal at the 2013 World U16 Championships of FIBA Americas and the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships. On July 7 2014 she was selected to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected for the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first collegiate campaign. She was even congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit numerous big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is a promising basketball athlete who has shown herself to be a great superstar.
